First of all, we have 4 different cup sizes to choose from (6, 8, 10 or 12 oz) and it’s compatible with hundreds of K-Cups.
A surprising feature of this unit is High Altitude setting which is very rare in one cup coffee maker. Not only it will help you enjoy a better-tasting cup if you find yourself at a higher altitude, but it will also ensure that your coffee maker lasts longer.
The water reservoir on this machine holds a whopping 52 ounces capacity. This means you can brew 5 full cups of coffee without having to refill. The water reservoir on this machine is completely removable, making refilling a breeze.
A removable drip tray completely removes from the machine for easy cleaning. An added benefit is that, without the drip tray, the K-Select can accommodate travel mugs up to 7.4 inches tall. With that clearance, you’ll be able to fit most of your travel mugs and take a fresh cup of coffee to go.
Getting started brewing with your Keurig K-Select is unbelievably simple. Place the cup on the drip tray, power on the machine, lift and then lower the handle on the machine without inserting a K-Cup pod. The cup size buttons will begin to blink. Press the desired cup button to begin brewing.
Cleaning the Keurig K-Select is a pretty simple process. The areas to be cleaned are the obvious ones including drip tray, water reservoir, and exterior of the machine. The drip tray can hold up to 8 ounces of overflow before it begins to overflow. Luckily, the removable drip tray is dishwasher safe (top rack only). The exterior of the machine can be cleaned with a damp, soapy, non-abrasive cloth.
Over the life of your machine, you may want to clean buildup from other areas of the brewer, like the K-Cup funnel or the exit needle. Be sure to consult the guide that comes with your machine for best practices on how to clean these areas.
The only maintenance item on the Keurig K-Select is to descale your machine every 3-6 months, depending on the hardness of your water. This is super important because mineral buildup can greatly shorten the life of your coffee maker.
K-Select has very handy features when it comes to the much-dreaded cleaning process. First of all, it’s made of fingerprint-resistant materials, meaning that you won’t have to wipe it all the time to get rid of those annoying smudges. It also has a removable drip tray and a K-Cup holder. As for the descaling process, which should be carried out every 3 to 6 months depending on the type of water you use, you’ll get a handy reminder through a flashing light.
K-Select is very practical and easy to use. You just need to insert the K-Cup, choose a size and you’ll get your cup of joe in less than one minute.
Plus, this coffee maker uses Quiet Brew Technology, making it much quieter than other Keurig models and many single-serve coffee makers
